Northwest Territories Rivers

South Nahanni, NWT Class 1 – 3 Depending on location of put in

Many folks that do not wish to do the white water of the Rock Garden will go in at Island Lakes or Rabbit Kettle.

Mountain River Class 2 - 3

The Mountain River is one of the most picturesque rivers in the north. There are three different locations for a put in, Willow Handle Lake and one would canoe the creek down to the river, Norseman Lake or Dusty Lake. Dusty is normally the preferred put in, but is short, so performance aircraft should be used.

Flight into Dusty Lake, 180 miles $ 4,554.00
Flight out of junction of Mountain & McKenzie, 290 miles $ 7,337.00

Note:
On any of the rivers where you return to our base of operations in the Yukon, we will overnight everyone at our resort, Inconnu Lodge at no cost. This gives you time to wash your cloths, have a shower, maybe a hot tub, a beer or two, great meal and a good night’s sleep. This is a superb location to close out a northern adventure
